This weekend I worked on the April '12 Tim Holtz tag. This was fun, tried new techniques and worked with new colors. Thanks for looking

Trying to stay on task
I just realized I wrote almost this same thing back in August. I've been thinking alot about the way things are and realize I have to change. I feel so lost, so overwhelmed and under fulfilled! I really need to stay on task with my job. I'm hoping if I change my diet and exercise habits, everything else will fall into place. So, as the saying goes, tonight is the first night of the rest of your life.
I haven't been to church in the past two weeks, I have gone to the Adult Class and left my offering, but just came home. I worked on a work project for about 3 hours and felt I did a good job. I just get so rattled at work, so unable to concentrate! Why is it at home, I'm fine but at work, just feel so disjointed. I will work on that and get better - I have to.
I feel bad about something that happened at work Friday. I hope no one gets in trouble, because that was not my purpose - just so tired of the politics of it all.
Tomorrow is Monday and things will be better!

A New way of ThinkingI
I have been thinking alot lately about the shape of my life. I know I need to let go of a few things and I'm sorry to say one of the things that is leaving me very unfulfilled lately is my church. Now, don't get me wrong I still believe in the presense of God, I'm just not feeling that special nudge from my current church. I went back to my home church in Mt. Carroll today and didn't find it there either. I think I just need to sit back and I will know it when I find it. Maybe I'll find it out walking or exercising, maybe in my cleaning, I don't know.
The first thing I want to do is set up a Sanctuary/solidtude corner in my home for myself. I think this help me find the right path. Life is just getting too confusing, too hectic.
I read a quote once that your house should hug you when you walk in the door, my home doesn't and I want to change that also.
Attached is a picture of 2 of our grandchildren - Ben and Tessa, who was born on Tuesday, aug 9.
Stay tuned, there is more to come!

Happy July
I am a few days early wishing everyone a Happy July but if I don't do it now, the throught will be gone.
Work has been busy; we are scheduled to go live with the new system August 4th. A lot of hours will be worked between now and then.
Jason went to the Illinois State Special Olympics 2 weeks ago and came home with a gold medal for the 50 meter dash. We are all very proud of him.
I decided to keep this blog more chatty and started another one for my art projects.
That is carol-511home.blogspot.com
I hope you will visit that one also.
My goal for the rest of the day is to completely clear off the kitchen counters and scrub them down good. Then I want to research how to refinish my cabinet doors.
Hope you all have a good July and thanks for stopping by.

Altered Rolodex Card
The attached image is for an Altered Rolodex Card swap featuring Greece. I chose to focus on Ancient Greece. The pillar was from an old Stamping Up set that I embossed in "Black Ice". The image was downloaded, colored with colored pencils and then trimmed to size.
I did learn a few things:
The complete name for Greece is the Hellinic Republic, and it has a population of 11.2 million people. The area is approximately 55,000 square miles and the unit of currency is the Euro.
Back to work tomorrow, should be interesting.
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year
Happy New Year to all! I hope you have a very productive, happy year.
I sat down and wrote a review of 2010 and was happy to learn it wasn't too bad. I also wrote 3 goals for 2011, I feel this are manageable goals and I am ready to get started.
The attached image is an altered Altoids tin, painted, stamped and embellished.
Stay safe

A great day!!!
A long week at work is finally over, somehow month end happens every month. Today was a day to relax, and do odds and ends at home.
The attached tags were made for a "Black and White" tag swap. I used stamps from various companies, but the majority were Tim Holtz. I also found an envelope of various stamps/postmarks in my stash of stuff that I was able to use.
Tomorrow is another unplanned day - lots of stuff to do at home, unless something better comes along.
